Laurence Cartledge

Associate Principal, Design Director

As an Associate Principal and Design Director for the Los Angeles office, Laurence brings more than 20 years of experience working with notable clients from various market sectors around the world including corporate workplace, hospitality, maritime and residential. As a professional interior architectural designer, Laurence’s talents, diversified strengths and leadership bring clients and teams together through a collaborative and thoughtful design process.  Knowing that communication and collaboration are key to any successful project, Laurence stays focused on creating beautiful, functional spaces that always strive to surpass any clients expectations.

Laurence holds an undergraduate degree from Auburn University (where he acted as Aubie the Tiger, the school mascot, from 1986-1987) and Masters of interior Architecture from UCLA/ Cal Poly.  Laurence joined DMJM Rottet (AECOM) in 2003 and then helped to establish Rottet Studio in 2008.  Prior to his interior architecture career he worked at DDB Needham Advertising, Los Angeles. 

Outside of the office, Laurence enjoys snow-skiing in Switzerland, cooking (baker friendly), anything to do with gardening, fishing and the company of friends and family.
